I have some cine film 8mm I think we took of our kids in early 80s. Can it be transferred to dvd? Is it best to do locally or online and any idea what it might cost?
Also have some old slides from 60s, can I get pictures printed from them?
Many thanks in advance.

Here's a better thread than you'll get here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/camcorders-video-editing/1620713-8mm-cine-film-digital.html
If you've got a lot of 60s slides, you might want to invest in a slide scanner. They start quite cheaply - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00190WB2K/0 -
I tried a cheap negative scanner, gave up as it was rubbish so don't waste your money.0
