Hi got a couple of problems with dishwasher
firstly it is a built in model and it has started to move forward. Is it simple to push back in ie just tightening some connections or do I need an repairman?
secondly the spring operating the tablet dispenser has been cut(dont ask how, communication between grandma, wife and grandad caused that) so it will need to be replaced. is this a simple job that I should be able to do?
Thanks for any help

Contact the manufacturer for spare springs (get ready to spend a fortune). As for it moving forward push the unit back inside its housing pushing at the base (dishwasher always very light units). It should not realy move at all normally.0

Normally there are a couple of screws rounf the outside (often at the top) that hold it in place.
I presume you mean the compartment was cut, not the "Spring"?
In my experience these compartments sometimes have a solenoid built in, which opesn the compartment/pumps the rinse aid. If so it may be difficult to buy one without the other (££). In the two I've done I had to take the front panel off the door (loads of screws) then replace the compartment (4 or 5 screws) and the seal and pair of electrical connectors, and replace the door panel.
As with all things electrical, turn it ff an unplug before touching, and if you aren't confident, find an expert!0
