Tenerife, but before the school half term, there's a nightlife bit in Playa de Las Americas.

any of the canaries should be the best bet if you want sunshine,
tenerife will probably be the cheapest.
i have been to benelmadena, costa del sol feb/march we had sunshine but a cool breeze out of the sun.
http://www.holidayhypermarket.co.uk/ might give you an idea of destinations available for february, then you can shop around if you decide what destination you want

Had a look at Tenerife and the cheapest so far is £1060 for 4 of us staying 3 nights self catering in an appartment with flights and transfers. This seems abit much to me or is this the right sort of price we be looking at paying.

You will be looking at about £150 a fight with someone like easyjet (handluggage only) so that be £600 before you start, DIY it and look at something like Laguna parkII in Playa de las Americas, cheap and cheerfull and will cost you less than £15 a night each (room only) or £20 for B&B, transfer's will cost about £8rtn (resorthopper) don't forget your travel insurance (a must) and skip the half term.

It really depends what you want out of your trip, A cheaper option would be to look at benidorm Feb is Carnival _party_
