MBNA - what are they up to these days?

I have two MBNA cards - a Mastercard which I've had about 5 or 6 years and years, and an Amex which I've had about 3 years.

Used to get loads of BT 0% offers from MBNA on the Mastercard, up until about a year ago, when there was talk of them pulling out of the UK card market. I still get regular offers from them, but 12 months at 10.9% with a 3.5% fee, so 14.4% isn't exactly tempting!
Meanwhile, almost every month, MBNA offer me a 0% BT for 12 months offer on the Amex card - and I've taken advantage of them on several occasions.
Three questions:
1. Why have MBNA stopped giving offers on the MC? Are they still planning to leave the UK market?
2. Why do MBNA deal so differently with these two types of cards?
3. The stream of 0% BT offers on the Amex card is virtually constant and has been for the last couple of years. Is this normal?

Thanks

With me the offers dried up completely. I then started using my MBNA AX
card for purchasing and then offers started flowing through again. Now I have been offered 0% and fee of 4% to my current account and that is for 12 months. There is a BT offer of 0% and fee of 3.5% and again 12 months.

I'm still on 2% fees for money transfers on my Virgin Amex 'White' card.

Now if only they'd give me a 0% offer on it I'd be quids in with a near £20K limit. Maybe I need to make a few purchases on it.

The offers come regularly on my Virgin Money Mastercard, but with a 5% fee I can't make any money on those!
