Hi havnt, sorry to hear your news. If you've previously made over payments on your mortgage you can now take a payment holiday up to the value of the over payments until you get back on your feet. The really important thing is to let your mortgage company know now, you'll often be surprised at how understanding they can be, Halifax springs to mind as being very helpful for instance. They may let you pay interest only for a while which would be greatly reduced fees.

This website will help you http://www.turn2us.org.uk/ just put in your details and it will tell you what your entitled to if anything. Good luck :).

How old is your youngest child? if under 5 then you may be able to claim I.S.
Have you told CTCs your partner has left you claim will be adjusted.
Also claim council tax benefit, and if your claim is succesful to I.S you may be able to claim help with your mortgage
