Frequency and number of applications

Hi,

I have been 'shuffling' card for a number of years now and recently got my first ever rejection this month... from capital one. A month earlier I applied for a M&S life of balance and only got a £2000 limit , which leaves me with about £4000 on an egg card. I am a bit concerned about applying for another card. Wondered if anyone could suggest how long I should wait before applying for another card and also which cards, they don't have to be 0% but certainly less than 10% apr

Hi andybee,

Have you remembered to close down all your unused credit cards? If not, that would be the most likely cause of your rejection. Close them down and then wait 2 months and start re-applying.
