Thomas Cook Airlines, quick hand luggage question

My remark was meant in jest, should remember to use smilies, however, I'm sure most Airlines would prefer you bought from them on the aircraft.

Its purely because I know I am going to be checking every 5 minutes to make sure they are still there! At least if they are around my waist I know there is no chance they could fall out, get lost or get stolen! I got mine from poundland – it also comes in handy when in resort and I don’t want to be carrying a bag around with me (ok, ok, I don’t want the strap marks/tan marks from me carrying a bag )

i flew with thomas cook 2 weeks ago, all they weighed were our hold cases. My handbag (large) was very full and it was never looked at/mentioned. We also had some carrier bags from duty free too and my wee 1 had a football allowed on as hand luggage as it wouldnt fit in our cases.We were allowed 5kg of hand luggage each as well as our hold luggage each...are you sure thats not the case with you?
