No response after interview...

I am currently looking for new work, and have been to a handful of interviews over the past few months. Why is it of late that despite turning up to an interview you still will not receive feedback? I will chase the companies twice after a interview before I give up.
I am ok if I receive no feedback from an application. But no feedback from an interview is rude. I took the time out of my day to see you, (yes the company took time too) but then to receive no feedback? How can I improve if I do not know what I am doing wrong, or why I am unsuitable for the role?

Well, it's not usual to give feedback unless you ask for it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Do you mean no feedback or no response whatsoever?
I can understand you may not always get detailed feedback from an interview, but I do agree that it is rude if they don't contact you at all to say they went with someone else.0 -
at least you're getting interviews...0

I agree, its rude not to get feedback after an face-to-face interview, even if its via 3rd party e.g. the agency or HR person. Are they even telling you formally that you haven't got the job? It's a buyer's market which can sometimes mean that people don't bother even to be courteous anymore, a sad state of affairs.

You are doing the righ thing by chasing a max of two times, any more than that and you risk sounding desperate. Not much more you can do but chalk it up to experience and move on.

On occasions I have received no feedback, or response as to if I have the job or not. Of course if I hear nothing I know I have not got the job, but a generic email would be nice sometimes!
If I hear nothing after a week I always presume I do not have the job, and send a request for feedback email. But even then, I sometimes get no response.0 -
You certainly shouldn't have to chase for feedback after an interview, jeez is it really to much to ask to have the common decency to tell a person 'thanks but no thanks, someone just pipped you to the post blah blah blah'
It's so rude, I can understand your frustration, chin up though and fingers crossed you get something soon.0 -

Its rude if they don't tell you that you have not got the job but regards feedback then this is not rude.
If you give feedback you can be opening a can of worms and causing you probsDon't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
I'm not sure if asking for feedback is ever useful, its only ever useful to keep yourself in the recruiters mind imo, I've only ever asked if I thought it went very well and even then all I've ever got were comments like 'you were knowledgeable but another candidate was more experienced' or 'you were the second choice'
As mentioned above if they give you much more it can be open to too much interpretation0 -
A friend of mine has been for loads of interviews, been promised
" We will definatly let you know by the end of next week"..On numerous occassions,he heard nothing.
It is very rude. The least they can do is Thanks but no thanks.0 -
Feedback is mostly useless and is avoided by some companies to avoid getting into any trouble.
