Hi Guys....Just a quick question for a friend of mine...She is thinking of putting 50 sim cards on ebay....and posting them via recorded delivery.
How much do you think would be reasonable to allow for postage?
Is recorded what she needs (to prove she has posted)?
She asked me the question and as one of the few non ebay people left in the world I thought you might all be the best to ask!

You'll need to know the weight to work out postage costs. My only advice though is that if they are expected to sell for over £32 they will need to go special delivery in case they get lost in the post.

One other thing, postage goes up soon, I think it is on the 2nd April so allow for someone paying late and having to send after the rates increase.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. All depends on the sim cards, are they the ones in plastic or paper wallets or in cd case.
Plastic wallet ones would weigh around 3 kilo, could be looking at £7.70 or more.
Plus if they ornage sim cards, be lucky to sell them and if you do, postage will be more than sims.
What sims are they anyhows.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
She has about 100 of each network still and quite a few brand new phones and phone type stuff.
She had a shop that she closed, well over a year ago now and is just trying to get rid of some of the bits still hanging around.
She has sold off quite a lot of it all to her ex competitors, but just wants to clear them all out now and finish with it.
I haven't got a clue about these things, is she doing the right thing putting them on ebay? She just wants a quick way to clear them out and get a little bit of money back I guess.0 -
Tell Her to use PayPerDrop on ebay.
Costs £5.99 for DHL Next Day, and they collect it from your home.

Ebay is flooded with sims. Can get most of them free these days.
If she does sell in bulk, person who would buy would be a reseller.
plenty of bulk sellers for orange, 02 and t-mobile
Not many for vodafone & virgin, they would get the price as most seller of these sell in single or 10 at a time.
I bought 200 orange a cpl of months ago for a tenner
average price for a single sim is about 99p (some with free postage & some about 60p)Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0
