    :rotfl:

I confess I always have a rolled up shopping bag in my handbag.

I also have a spare pair of knickers (in case I get hit by a car and need clean kecks to go to hospital in or something  Well that's what my mum taught me anyway).

I will endeavour to be less annoying in my handbag/shopping bag habits in future. ;)

At certain times of the month it's handy to have a "bag within a bag"!

Sorry boys - but surely these mysteries is one of the reasons you love us so much...? ;)

And, as far as the pocket-angle goes, I just have two words: "Pocket Billiards".

This thread has made me chuckle... A while back at work we had our work cases weighed (I work in the community and have to take equipment with me) And as a bit of a joke I weighed my handbag and was shocked to find that it was over 4kg!!!
I have tried to cut down on what's in it, but not doing very well so far!!

How do you chaps cope with only pockets!:rotfl:

    This one is easy !!
If my OH is anything to go by, in one breathe its.. " Why on earth do you need such a big bag ? !"
In the next breathe, every time we go anywhere, its .." Will you just put this in your bag ( eg. car keys), will you put that in your bag ( eg. wallet )......and so it goes on !!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Plus being a mum ( and a 'supergran' of course!!) I need to carry all that the job entails eg: tissues / wet wipes etc !!

I can occasionally have lots of bags, but generally it's a relatively small bag packed full, with a separate bag for my lunch or gym stuff, depending on what I'm doing.

I really don't get the big bag thing. They're a nightmare to carry. I have my main bag over my shoulder across the body. So I dont have to hold it, or take it off on the tube!

Have you ever had your bag slashed or dipped?

I've experienced both forms of theft. These days my purse goes into an interior handbag pocket that's zipped closed. And my handbag is always latched closed.

I think that is the point - men's clothes do have lots more pockets than women's. Men's jackets have all kinds of secret and concealed pockets. Women are often left without pockets otherwise it "ruins the line of the garment" or something. So we have to carry our things in a bag.

I've never seen someone with that amount of bags. I carry one handbag with a shopping bag inside which comes in useful.

As supergran2007 says, I often find myself stashing things away for my OH and male friends. I also have a female friend who refuses to use a handbag and I often have her stuff in my bag too.

I have a few large handbags but I only use them if I'm going shopping (so will fill them up over the day) or staying somewhere overnight, in which case I use it as a weekend style bag. The rest of the time I carry a smaller bag.

I do go a bit mad at festivals though. I take a slouchy cross body bag in which I have sun screen, wet wipes, tissues, hand sanitiser, mac- anything you could possibly need. It's a bit of a pain carrying the extra weight but it's worth having it all on me and not having to traipse back to the tent all the time.

Oh, and I'm the person that gets in your way in the shop because I'm getting my money out before I get in the queue (just in case the queue is a lot shorter than I'm expecting!) Just can't win really.

    Bagception!

Though I have to admit, as I wander aimlessly toward womanhood, bags are a requirement, because nothing has pockets! I have one pair of trousers (lovely purple colour) and the pockets on them are tiny. They even have zips for things that look like pockets but are just zips. Seriously, what is it with people who make clothes for women? No practicality!
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler

I was wearing a coat last week that i've had for a year and I discovered a pocket i didn't even know about

I've always thought that my handbag is like the sea - it's as deep as the ocean and just as full of sh*te! Every so often I have a bag clear-out - and even the dog looks on, appalled. :o

It drives me insane when you see women with "handbags" that are the size of suitcases! I totally understand that women need to carry things like make-up etc, but some women take so much cr*p out with them!

I'm so glad I'm a bloke! Keys, check. Wallet, check. Phone, check. Lets go!
