JSA First interview question

I wondered if someone could help me. I phoned the jobcentre plus line to ask this question but couldnt get a straight answer. The bloke was talking really slow as if he was simple or he thought I was simple, anyway situation is. My partner has just made a claim online today for JSA, he will be claiming for me but I am unable to look for work due to having 4 children, I have a disabled child in a wheelchair and I care for him. I am currently fighting an appeal with DLA so at the moment I don't get carers allowance.
Anyway we are at my mothers caravan looking for work in this area as this is the area we plan to move too once we find work and a home but we have claimed from our home address as obviously I will need to claim HB and CTB.
My question is ...will I need to attend the interview with my partner or can he go alone if im not going . I dont want to drag 4 young children on buses and trains if I dont need to be there.
