Hi, hopefully someone can give me some advice.
I'm wanting to clear my cc & personal loan debts over the next few years so I can move out of home. I owe £5k over 3 cc & £1k left on a personal loan, £1200 overdraft & £11000 on another personal loan!! The cc company's will not give me a new card to balance transfer to (i have been declined) & I'm paying between 16-29% apr on them. My brother has said he will try get a loan for me or it's been suggested that I try & get one of my existing cc to take all 3 balances & ask for a lower apr until the account is cleared & just plod along with the loans. What do you think?

I wouldn't suggest getting someone else to get a loan for you...imo that usually leads to trouble. I'd probably post an s.o.a. so people can see your full circumstances and make suggestions based on that. I'm not sure, but I think you may get more response to this on the debt free wannabe board?0
