Yes, we had trouble with frontline last year and switched to advantage. The vet says Skip has a grass allergy, which is quite likely as shes low to the ground! She has an injection every four weeks which only helps for about 2 weeks. We give her half a piriton tablet when shes really bad.
Is the injection a corticosteroid? If so did using antihistamines regularly not work?
Have you tried a high strength fish body oil supplement for the omega-3s? Also choosing a food that is either low carb or contains only a modest amount of low glycaemic index carbs? This combination is anti-inflammatory and calms inappropriate immune responses, in humans diet modification can relieve or improve hayfever, dermatitis and other lower grade allergies or intolerances.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Yes, it is a corticosteroid. We didn't try using antihistamines regularly, I just took her to the vet and thats what he suggested. The injection worked for a month at first but now its definitely more 2 weeks.
Haven't tried a omega-3 supplement, is there one you would suggest? She has james wellbeloved hypoallergenic food (wet and dry) because anything else makes her sick and even more itchy
I'm sure she gets hayfever as well, she sneezes constantly if we go through a meadow. With Sparkles! :happylove And Shiny Things!0 -
Ok, food has been delivered!
Puppy was neutered today and very out of this world at this moment. Bless her!
So I'll probably stick with what we already have for now. When introducing different flavours, am I ok just to switch it straight away as its still AG just lamb and rice/fish and potato instead of chicken and rice? Or should I introduce it gradually as if it was new food?:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0
