Hi there, following my last posts, for my current account, My bank
Clydesdale who I have been with declined a current account, but rbs, who I have no relationship with offered me a current account & overdraft.
My own branch clydesdale declined, although my meeting was strange, it was a young 21 year old bank advisor, who told me i had been offered a clydesdale current account, but she had to refer it, whatever this means ( any clues), then she phoned me an hour later to say it had been declined.
she said in the meeting I was offered an overdraft, & account but she had to refer it ( confused), anyhow she said they declined it, but rbs offered me an overdraft & current account.
Can i try clydesdale again, or will i have to wait a few months, because i have a relationship with them, thanks

you could try them in a few months, but you may be best asking why it was declined
You acceptance from RBS may well change as they do final checks etcFor everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
What existing relationship do you have with Clydesdale?
There can be a whole host of reasons why, the first step is to contact Clydesdale for an explanation of their declining you.0 -
I would wait at least 3 to 6 months before asking Clydesdale bank, to consider offering you a current account.
RBS I would wait and see if they actually open your account, as they are notorious for opening accounts for people sending out account numbers cards and pins. Then for reasons only known to themselves closing the account a week or so later, using there weird final checks system.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0
