Maintenance Contracts - PCP/New/OLD
Ok apologies for confusing title but i think it should cover all my queries.
We currently have a Volkswagen Tauran on a PCP with maintenance contract (which covers tyres). PCP due to end April 2008.
So, we are now into thrifty ways and budgeting strictly and I have been doing my homework.
My husband gets a car allowance which currently pays for the Tauran. We intend to pay the balloon payment in April via a Loan. His allowance should pay for the loan plus a PCP on a new car (currently debating PCP:cool:, i think we should just get a loan for both cars and be done with it, but husband has to have a car under 5 years old, so PCP seems more convenient.)
Anyway, I want to continue with a maintenance contract for the Tauran as Servicing, tyres are expensive. I suspect VW will put the cost of the contract up once balloon payment has been made (currently paying £43 pm)
I found a site called www.motoreasy.com who provide maintenance, warranty, breakdown etc etc they quote £480 for a year.
My question is has anyone heard of Motoreasy? Does anyone think its a bad idea? Should I just put money into a pot and hope that I don't have a nightmare service and need new tyres at the same time?
Obviously i need to get a quote from VW but just want to see what people out there think:D
Thanks all in advance for any replies.
