Glazing Contract Cancellation?

Hello
Last monday I stupidly signed a contract to have my winows replaced. It was late (so late the salesman couln't take my deposit) and I was blown away by the deal.
The following morning I came to my senses and contacted the salesman first thing. He wouldn't let it go and kept counter offering the already 'rock bottom price'. I said no.
Despite that he continued to process the original deal I had signed. I only relised when I recieved a 'welcom to your credit agreement' through the post yesterday.
This morning I sent an email to the glazing company accounts manger to cancel the contract (its 7 days since they received it), but am I too late and is this going to cost me regardless?
thanks for reading,

Then you have a statutory cooling off period of 7 days in which to cancel without any penalty, and any deposit paid must be returned. Especially as you informed them of your intent to cancel the next day.
