Can anyone please tell me what happens after my medical appointment?

my ESA was stopped as I missed the medical appointment I have to now wait for another but will get no payment until I have the apointment, so if I fail the medical will I be able to appeal and would my payments start whilst I wait for the appeal or will I not get any payments unless I pass the medical?

If you miss the medical again, you get no payments till you attend one. (or six months have elapsed and you make a fresh claim).

If you attend the medical, and pass, you get paid as normal, with backpay of the assessment rates between the two medicals.

If you attend the medical, fail, and appeal, then you get assessment rate payments from the date of the appeal.

If you win the appeal, you get paid the assessment rate backdating to the original claim date, and the work-related or support group component back to the date of the medical.

sorry just to be clear, I'm not getting any payments now.

My claim has been closed, because of the missed appointment, I've started a new claim,when I get the next appointment and say I should fail that would I get any payments if I appealed?

and also if I were to fail does that mean I go into the work group or on JSA?
