Mortgage - Partner started job 6 weeks ago...

Partner started job 6 weeks ago...

Are there any lenders who will give us a mortgage for this? She has her first months payslip.

I have been in the same job for 30 months but she changed job on the 26/6 and is earning a lot more than she was in her previous employment.

She is on a permanent contract and doesn't have a probationary period.

Thanks in advance..

Yeah, they are out there but best to see a broker or ask your lender of choice upfront..

I think I remember you were going to bid yesterday/today, so may want to ensure you can actually get the mortgage first...

    Good luck

I have a broker who I spoke to a month ago who said we could do it with the 1 payslip but he is away until 14th on holiday.

I just wanted to see if I could source any lenders myself to get the ball rolling..

Potentially, if you have a broker who you were happy with I would await their return. Maybe someone in their office will be working on their client cases.

If you want to do yourself, check the banks lending policy before you let them credit search you both. Remember they only have one product to sell and are targetted sometimes on applications so may allow you to think what you need to in order for them to credit score.

They can only speak/see a certain amount of people per day and therefore they are mega keen to get you through a credit score as if you fail, they would have been wasting their time.

    Good luck

I was in similar situation, recently moved job but in the same field and more money. I was approved by both Halifax and Nationwide.

All I had to do was provide a letter from my employer that I was employed there and annual salary.

Ah that's great news. I may pop into a branch later and see If I can talk to someone before applying then.

And my savings are with Halifax so that would be easier.

    Thank you.

I will more than likely do it through our broker. I was just a little worried and stressed about it last night when I was checking the lending criteria on a few banks and they all said 3 payslips.

There are companies, ive just spent a while searching for something similar. Best to see a broker because i had to use a building society no high street lender would entertain it. But i suppose a lot will depend on how much your relying on your partners wage and the LTV.
