So far they've all been ok, we had arrears on council tax and things too and being on a dmp has actually helped to clear some of them and they have been a lot more understanding than I expected.

I'm still waiting to here from a few creditors but they can't have what we don't have and we are doing all we can x

Oh and don't pay your minimum payments etc send a token payment of £1 along with a letter explaining your sorting out a dmp with cccs. Use the money you save to put to one side in case of emergency like car maintenance etc.

I've received a letter from Vanquis this morning accepting my DMP of £5 a month. So happy as I thought they were going to be really awkward given the number of phone calls I've received from them chasing monies. Might take a while to pay off but at least they are off my back and the payment will go up in 6 or so months anyway :) x

Thats brilliant news, at least 6 months give you a breathing space.

I had statement for 1 of my cards - was told that I'd paid enough to come of self manged dmp - paying £40pm they only now want £165........ Its made me more determined to get all the paperwork for CCCS done.

They've actually accepted it at £5 a month for 12 months but I"m hoping to have settled our council tax arrears in 6 months so will have extra money to chuck at them then :)

That's good news on your statement. I've just noticed your other thread so will go have a read of it in a mo x

Now if only I could get to sleep, currently sat up in bed feeling sick :(

hope you feel better soon, not junior playing up is it???

I have just opened an account with Natwest - no debts with them, just a basic current account all gone through at mo and given me sort code and acc number, and had email conformation, - so just going to wait 7 days incase they change their mind then start getting ingoings transferred to there.

Off to bed, got to get DD up at 5.30am, shes having an early bday present, she's 10 in Sept, she going up in hot air ballon, my fathers going with her, (he was like a dog with a new bone when DD said she wanted a flight), quite mse as mum and dad went half, so def helped!! xx
