Hi
Recently visited an independent mortgage advisor for some general advice about re-mortgaging and also with a view to potentially moving.
The advisor mentioned that as our current mortgage is with Mortgage Express who are no longer issuing new mortgages and are trying to close their books, if we call them to discuss moving our mortgage away from them, they may offer incentives to encourage us.
Has anyone ever heard of this before or even better had experience of it?
Thanks

Mortgage Express were offering to waive Early Repayment Charges a while back.
No incentives as far as I am aware.0 -
It depends upon your unique situation. I am sure I have spoken to a client who said they were offered a reduction to go, although it went no further so could not verify.
I would think you are on an attractive rate now, so ask the question..
Be interested in outcome....I am a Mortgage Broker
