Gas cooker problem
Hi wondered if any of you can help or give your opinons please.
Sorry if it is long!
My gas cooker stopped lighting fully a few weeks ago. It appears that when it was fixed before that a differant part was used then what is the right part for the cooker.
When I called a corgi registered guy to fix it he had the previous part for it. But it looks like previous guy cut a few wires so we was abit worried that the part that is supose to fit wouldn't so we didnt chance it and he has ordered the part that is on there.
This new part hasnt been put on there yet. I am concered now as it seems that it could be dangerous??
The previous part was £106 plus £30 labour although this couldn't be fixed. The new part is cheaper.
what would you do? Shall I just get a new cooker or get the part put on?
thank you for any replies

Buy a new one. I like New World as a brand.
Over 35 years, I have never had a real gas hob or cooker malfunction. A loose connection or a bad contact here and there, which are soon sorted. They are usually replaced when a new kitchen is put in.0 -
CORGI became obsolete for gas registration about 3 years ago, so anyone claiming to be CORGI-registered is working illegally and should be reported immediately. People working on gas appliances need to be GSR.
You need to tell us what part was replaced. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
