Overpaid Housing and CTB

Hey all,
I recently started work (9th July), prior to that I had been unemployed this tax year. I had a HB + CTB claim accepted from 9th April.
When I started work I sent a letter to my council telling them I would no longer be eligible for the benefit, giving them my income details and confirming I was in a permanent post. I also phoned the JSA In and Out of Work team and had that benefit stopped.
I have just noticed that on Friday my HB went into my old account, it's been swallowed by charges sadly.
Now I'm planning on contacting them tomorrow to inform them but I want to know if I'm going to be in any trouble? I'm hoping that the fact I'm self reporting will go in my favour?
Also it will be the end of this month before I can pay it back, I would prefer to give them £100 this month and then £150 next month if anyone knows if that's likely to be possible? The reason being I'm using a new bank account now and while in a way it's good that the HB has pretty much cleared my overlimit amount, in short term sense I haven't seen the benefit of that money and I don't want to cripple myself financially for a month by paying it all back as a lump sum
Any advice will be appreciated.

housing benefit is paid in arrears so this could have been your last payment0

Once they cancel your claim you will be invoiced for the overpayment and the due date for payment will be a month later.0
