Flouride In Water

First question - why do you want to remove the flouride in the tap water? It is added for your health - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_fluoridation
When I worked in the Middle East for just 4 months, I used bottled water for everything. When I came back to the UK I had a mild case of tooth ache. It went away after drinking UK tap water.
Good luck,

So the EPA still think that fluoride in drinking water is a good idea.
From a link in that article...The EPA said Friday it is reviewing whether to lower the maximum allowable level of fluoride in drinking water from the current 4 parts per million
In Europe, fluoride is rarely added to water supplies. In Britain, only about 10% of the population has fluoridated water. It has been a controversial issue there, with critics arguing people shouldn't have “medical treatment” forced on them.
Source
In the UK the maximum level is only 1.5 parts per million. According to this map, the vast majority of the water supplies the England and Wales have a level of just 0 to 0.49 parts per million.
Where do you live OP? You may not have any added fluoride in your water, or any at all.0 -

If you want more "reputable sources" how about mainstream news and members of government?

Take everything in the mainstream news with a pinch of salt (or flouride)- as a country we love health scare stories. Take the MMR/ autism coverage as a good example. People listened to it and stopped giving their children MMR, and it resulted in an increase in mumps and measles. It didn't help that the PM at the time refused to comment on whether his baby had had it...0 -
There's a company called ProPur that that makes water purification systems. Theirs are probably the best for removing fluoride and other contaminants from water. They do have free shipping with the purchase of one of their water purification systems. They're an American company, so I'm not sure whether this applies to the UK.
The system won't allow me to insert links, but do a google search for the following: propur water filter.
The first result that comes up is the Alex Jones infowars website. He sells them thru his website. You can get an additional 10% off there. I listen to him regularly and he's always talking about how great ProPur water systems are.
The second result that comes up is the official ProPur website.OK is there a natural or cheaper way to remove fluoride from tap water?
What are alternatives, spring water? What about those concentrated fruit drinks like 100% concentrated orange juice?
Is it possible, you can minimise but cant eradicate all fluoride form diet.
In case you want to know why, ask jeeves..Donny. Extreme Money Saving. E$S.0 -
Epic previous thread here on MSE with much discussion on fluoridation of the water supplies, water filters etc
Fact is that anyone who wants additional fluoride can already get it via drops, toothpastes, mouthwashes etc. Much of our food and drink conatins the stuff.
Those who don't want extra fluoride shouldn't be obliged to receive it in the drinking water supply.

Totally agree with those sentiments.
I have to avoid fluoride as I'm sensitive to it, thankfully here fluoride isn't added to the water. I don't drink tea and use non-fluoride toothpaste. It should be a choice whether to medicate with such a strong and possibly dangerous material.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I'm sorry to tell you but according to the world health organisation, the royal college of physicians, the American academy of sciences, numerous immunologists , multiple studies there is no evidence to say that there is such a thing as allergy (sensitivity) to fluoride.
In fact it is impossible to eat a diet free of fluoride as virtually all food stuffs contain it.0 -
You would need to drink ca 1600 litres of water to get 4g of sodium fluoride. This would have to be in one sitting without going to the toilet.
And you would die of water poisoning. The conclusion is that they should not have added water to our water as it is toxic.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
