Credit limit vicious circle

As advised, I got a Halifax Clarity credit card, to use abroad. No loading - no brainer.
Or so I thought. But they've stuck me with a £500 credit limit, so I only use the card when abroad. I have another one to use in the UK. I have had the card for over a year. But they won't increase the credit limit - and they won't tell me why. I suspect it's because I do not use the card much - the adviser hinted at this. I seem to be stuck in the vicious circle.

So use it, and clear the balance monthly.
That will frustrate them so much, the limit will be upped before you know it!0
