Spending money for 2 X 14 year old girls in Blackpool?

  • Another thought, where are you staying?? D they need to factor travel into their budget?
Also I very much doubt they will leave the pleasure beach the first day and although a bit more than normal I'd say they will hit burger king
  • As your paying for the pleasure beach £20 should be plenty on those days as they wont be eating much. My daughter is the same age & took £15 for a day out in alton towers & that was with school (coach there then let loose on the park) so had to make do as I was at home in Bradford. They may need a little more on the days they don't have the pleasure beach paid for. You don't say where you are staying so if transport is needed I suggest you get them saver tickets for the buses & trams £3.50 adult £2.00 child a day then they aren't scrambling for change or "accidentally" spending their bus fare home (remember me & my friend doing this once after a day out back in the depths of time before mobile phones, luckily kept 10p in shoe for the call box).

I presume the daughters friend will have her own money? see how much she brings with her, then give your daughter something similar?

I live in Blackpool and would say £30 each for going into town. They are 14 and will want to most likely want to go shopping. Going to the pleasure beach for the day I would give them £20 to spend on drinks and food. Hopefully it will be a hot sunny weekend for you all x

have you booked them to go pleasure beach both days? i live in fleetwood near blackpool (a tram ride away) and was just thinking if you have 2 for 1 for other places they may not want to go both days plus there is the sandcastle, the piers, shopping in town etc that im sure they would love to do.

food wise there are planty of takaways down prom (and every side street) as well as kfc, maccy ds, burger king, pizza hut, nandos etc so they could have a cheaper lunch and meet something more substantial at night time without it costing a bomb.

the pier has rides on it like big wheel, waltzers etc and costs £20 for 25 tickets that shoukd get them on 4 rides each (some only cost 1 ticket to stay on for a 2nd ride so tell them to bear this in mind. warn them to NOT pay to go on game stalls, they will try everything to get them to go on and spend £30-40 and will come away with a teddy thay they were gonna give you anyway and thats it. they are NEVER going to win, most times you 'see' people win but actually they work for the people and its just to look good -a good tip is to tell them just to say there local as they usually leave u alone as you know how they work.

if you have any questions you can pm me and also if you want me to post you out a 50% off flyer for sandcastle i have a few at home, they usually give them out at events round the fylde coast and i already have a local card so dont need to and they will love all the slides in there, theyve just built 2 more this year plus theres food places in there and its heated so u dont get cold xx

Please can I ask what the Sandcastle is? It is many.many years since I was last at Blackpool.

They will have a fab time, but please stress to them to keep well away from any "game" stalls. Some of these are complete con men who wouldn't think twice of taking every penny off two young girls, always hinting they will definitely win the next go.

When I let my daughter and friend have that kind of day out last year they spent about £2 each for lunch on a bag of do nuts!!!! Still they were happy...
