Converting 7k Euros in Cash to £´s

I´ve got around 7k in Euros (in cash) that I want to convert to £´s. Apparently the Nationwide will not accept foreign currency in cash to convert to £´s and all they could suggest was taking it to the Post Office. I´m not keen to do this as I know the rates are the tourist rates and not all that favourable. Can anyone suggest how I can convert these Euros to enable me to get the best exchange rate?
Thanks guys.

  • Hi Lisalou, whenever I come home from Ireland to the UK I usually change my leftover Euros at the local travel agent, they don't charge commision but I'm not sure how good the rates are, and especially with 6k to change any slight change it rates could cost you loads.
