Applying for 2 cards on the same day

in Credit cards
Hello all,
I want to apply for a credit card but am worried about the credit search footprint it will leave.
If I apply for 1 and get rejected I don't want another card company seeing the search.
If I apply for 2 cards on the same day I don't think either card will see the others footprint. I don't think credit files are kept 'realtime'.
Would you agree?
(Obviously if both cards reject me, I've gained nothing).
Thanks

I did this many times while stoozing & I do not believe credit records update in real-time. Obviously, any subsequent applications will show both searches.0

Credit searches do unfortunately update in real time.
One way is to apply with one lender who search Equifax and another who search Experian -
Saga, Barclaycard and Creation search Equifax
Nearly everyone else search Experian
This way they wouldn't see each others footprints.
The alternative is to get to the last page of the application on two applications simultaneously and hit the "Apply" button near as makes no difference at the same time (i.e. within a second or so of each other). That might work.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
