Call from Money Saving Exper? Real or bogus?

Hi everyone,

I've just had a call from a network unable to transmit numbers. the caller claimed to be from Money Saving Expert & wanted me to complete a customer survey
I asked how they got my number as I am x directory & registered with TPS. His reply was "Have you got time to complete this survey or not"
I put the phone on mute (which is what I do with all unwanted calls) he diconnected the call within seconds.

Can someone confirm if this call was bogus like I think it is please!

Thank you in advance :D

Sounds like a spammer to me. Martin's had a few of these things over the years, where people try to "borrow" his name :)

Tyhank you all for your replies:D

He was asking me to complete a survey, which I never do as that's normally how they get your number in the first place.

I am worried now that my x directory/TPS registered number is now some how out there and being sold to companies despite how careful I've been :(

I wouldn't worry if you didnt get any info out they sound like they just trying it on. I am ex directory and tps for donkeys years and still get cold calls but my truecall device rejects them, so up yours to cold callers :D

I rarely give info out so as to avoid this. These cold callers try and get as much info on you and either try and scam you or sell your details on there is a lot of money for personnel information seem to recall on a program on tv its worth over £300

Thanks for letting us know. This is NOT us - we never really make phonecalls out to website users, would never do this unsolicited and never try to sell something or get people to do surveys.

if you have any more details on this (eg, phone number) then it would be great if you can let me know.

    Thanks
