will the ORN roads have to be repainted back to normal

ORN = olympic route network

I live near the olympic site, and it's a bloody nuisance, but managed to avoid it as I'm a freelancer who works from home.

I remmeber how the painting of the ORN markings was more of a hassle than then when the ORN was live, because some of the dual carriageways with 3 lines had to have 2 lanes shut so the lane can be painted along with the lane edges as well (form dashed to solid).

Id much prefer it if they left the lane markings as is and not waste money and inconvenice in painting them back, anyone know if they're gonna do that?

    They removed a lot of the Wimbledon ORN markings overnight, hopefully they will put the Roehampton A3 traffic lights back to normal as the phasing was ridiculous

    hmm strange, maybe it easier to paint roads black than to paint them white

    Roads are not painted black. They usually just burn off the paint with what is ultimately a fancy blowtorch. This doesn't need anything like the level of equipment or skill to paint the Olympic rings correctly.

    As an aside, I really hate it when they don't use the blowtorch and instead paint over it with black paint that then becomes reflective in the rain. Confusing as hell when it's done to lane markings.
