I am in urgent need of a 1 month policy for 28 days just to bridge the gap from me owing a provisional lisence at the start of my insurance period to when i passed my test so that i can buy a annual policy at the cheaper rate of owning a license for a year
problem i am coming up against is that a quote with ecar is saying 500 just for 28 days !! i nearly chicked as the insurance policy due to start in 28 days time only cost me 522! i just have this silly 28 day gap to fill
can anyone advise me a great 1 month insurer

Have you looked at an annual insurer that has a low/ no cancellation fee? Could well be cheaper than £500 but generally speaking your insurance will go UP once you pass your test rather than down.0

Short term insurance is high risk. It may not save you any money.
As you probably found the difference between having a full licence for 11 months or 12 months makes less difference than a short term policy.
If you decide to insure for a year then cancel, You need to ask all the right questions. Cancellation charges and what the policy rate is if you do that.
Payment divided by 12 minus deposit may not work for some companies. 1 months cover may equal 3 or 4 months payments.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
There's an iPhone app that provides short term quotes for daily cover, which may be a cheaper alternative.0
