International Bank Account Number?

Can anybody give me any advice with regards to an IBAN number and a BIC code.?
I have a Nationwide Flex account and wonder if i can use this to pay money into monthly.
My current account is with the Woolwich and the amounts i intend to pay in do not seem to meet the minimums required for a new current account.
The amounts will be aprox €100-€150 per month, an alternative seems to be a paypal account
any help greatfully accepted!

its usually on your bank statment somewhere,
BIC usually looks something like
4 letter reference for the bank (possibly NATW?) followed by GB then some numbers
so something like
NATWGB1234
IBAN is in the format GB then 2 digits followed by 4 letter abnk reference then sortcode/accnumber
so something like
GB12NATW12345698765432
(where 123456 is sortcode and 98765432 is acc number)
if you see two things in that kind of format then thats what you want. otherwise you will need to check with nationwide

riadom - inspired by David Campbell's helpful info about National Westminster Bank's style, as a member of my family has Nationwide accounts, I've looked at a statement (this one is for InvestDirect account). Under the customer's address, there is a line stating :
"IBAN: GB99 NAIA 9999 9999 9999 99 BIC: MIDL GB 99"
(I've put "9" where any digit exists.)
Hope this helps...?0 -

In most cases it will be 4 letter reference as above, a 2 letter country code then 2 alphanumerics(their may also be a further 3 characters denoting a department within the institution but normally it's just XXX) ie NATW GB 2L XXX
You can search for SWIFT addresses at http://www.swift.com/biconline/index.cfm but be careful as with each bank there are numerous ones depending on what function the bank performs so probably wise not to guess and contact bank themselves for their relevant code0 -
riadom - as you stated "I have a Nationwide Flex account", are you able to look at its statement sheet - the IBAN and BIC numbers should be quoted under your address?0
