Will i get 3 months 0% off Halifax if i ask?

Hello,
i am looking to buy a car, but want to pay with my existing Halfax One Credit card. I have (after 2 years of trying) fully paid off the card and will have the money to pay off the debt on the card IN FULL in 3 months time.

What i would like advise on is whether or not i can simply phone up and ask for 3 months interest free off Halifax One, instead of canceling this one and getting a new one with an interest free period, as it will save me getting another hit on my credit score. Also i can't really be bothered with the hassle of getting a new card anyway. I know i could just wait for 3 months but firstly i have seen the car i want and don't want it to go, and secondly we REALLY need a new car before this one breaksdown for good.

Thanks in advance

Call them up. If there are any offers they will tell you. Mostly its for BT's though. Seldom for purchases (unless you have got a new mastercard when you could have 0% for 9 months from when the mastercard account started)

Dont think it will work,i had a card not used for a long time decided to cancel it and destroy but before doing so asked if they offer me 0% on the card before canceling, they said april, which is only next month, how crap is that, even if i did a bt to this card and charge fees april is just a joke,i just said quicky after that cancel it and they did.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

OMG Bwatt00 that's ridiculous ONE month, these companies are obviously not so generous, i guess i will just have to ask them though - they got some interest off me from the previous debt (although i did get 9 months 0% off them). I didn't think it was too much to ask, i wonder if i tell them i will be putting £3,000 on the card it would help - it's either that or i cancel the card and go with another company (any ideas on good 0% for purchases - also need to keep fingers crossed that the card comes quickly before someone else buys my car!!!)
