Mobility car, in accident

I have a mobility car, and last month, early in morning (4.30) was taken my hubby to work, dropped him off, and i was half way cross a roundabout outside of his works, when a taxi, came speeding to roundabout, without stopping at junction. He then came ranting at me saying my fault as i was coming from the right, obviously doesnt understand highway code, with this someone got my hubby from his works, as i was shook up and with the jolt hurting. So got all his details, now nearly month later, my insurers, have not heard from them to accept liability, got till tomorrow, as had to wait 15 days from when the claim was submitted. I have got my car repaired no problem. What i want to know, if they dont reply what happens next, and would i next year have to pay more for my car, even though not my fault. First accident in 25 years.
Thanks

Taxi drivers do not like to admit liability and they tend to be insured with rubbish Insurers who fit tooth and nail.
Did you have any witnesses to the accident.
If you've had your car repaired what are you waiting for the 15 days for eg to recover your excess or have you gone through a claims management company rather than directly with your Insurer0 -
There is no witnesses, but there is a camera, but council dont no if was working at time, I want my excess money back, and with mobility cars, they have there own people, who deal with everything, cant faulty them at all.0

You need to allow more than 15 days for the other Insurers to accept liability, they will do nothing until the taxi driver reports it and then the chances are he will give a different story than you have (It happens with most accidents). The Insurers will then argue amongst themselves for sometime.0

But what happens about payments next year, as mobility car, as had accident? Would it go up ?0

I'm not sure about Motability cars as I don't think they use no claims bonus, they may add a loading for you having a claim. If they do this tends to be lower or nothing if you have recovered or RSA (The Insurers) have recovered their losses from the Taxi drivers Insurers.
It might be best for you to ring Motability's customer services and ask what could potentially happen, you could also ring the claims department and ask them how it's going on the claim (I think you will find the will just tell you they will be writing a few letters at this stage)0 -
My mums still getting paperwork for a claim lat November.
In insurance terms 15 days is nothing.
Letters can go backwards and forwards for months.
I had an accident in a works van many years ago. The other driver squeezed up the inside, Tyres being shredded by the kerbstones.
Then claims i moved over into him. After several letters his story changed from i changed lanes to the fact i was already 1 or 2 feet over the line into that lane when he attemped to squeeze through.
It was going to goto court for them to decide, But got withdrawn the day before.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
