school skirt for a small 4 yr old

am looking for a skirt for a 4 yr old who has a skinny bum and is not very tall. she is 97cms height and really waist wise needs to be in 2-3 yrs.
asda is not too bad length wise but in a skirt if i use the adjustable waistthe front of the skirt is fine but the back ends up really short lol.
am really struggling to find smaller sizes of school wear.

I have this problem too. Sainsburys sell skirts that have adjustable waists which seem to work well for her.

    Hi

I would either try and get a skirt with adjustable elastic in the waist, most of the supermarkets and laces like Marks and Spencer, BHS sell these.
Or I would use pinafores for her if they are allowed at your school

Next start their school skirt range from age 3.

Edited to add - the pleated skirt also has an adjustable waist so might be a decent fit. I buy that for my skinny, but tall daughter as in most other places it's either huge on the waist or too short.
  • I can second Sainsburys. My 1st DD was the same. If not the independant chains that supply to private schools often have age 2 uniforms in as thats when the children start there

  • Next and sainburys start from 3. Sainburys I found the best.

It is to emphasise the "professional" aspect of education/going into the workplace - to instil a "professional" attitude to their work.

Asdas often have suits - in small-ish sizes - quite cheaply. If not - Next!

i understand that- but these are kids who are still growing, and i personally dont think that wearing a suit makes you any more professional than someone who doesnt. i got him one from bhs in the end, the asda one wasnt very good quality and next was a bit too dear.
still all done now- and wasnt too painful.lol.

thank you for the help everyone.x
