Best way to sell my car?

I am currently driving a chevrolet kalos 1.4 SX 2007 which I have owned for a year. I bought the car for 4 grand and I am looking to sell it. There are a lot of scratches on the paintwork so would i be best to get the bodywork repaired before I sell the car? Also I dont really have any idea how much I should sell the car for and I'm not sure the best way to sell it. Its not exactly a well known make of car or even a popular one. Thanks.

It's worth around a grand to a dealer but sell it privately in maybe gumtree and advertise it at £1400.

Don't bother about repairing the scratches as its only cheap car so the buyer is not going to be that fussed.

£1400?? I bought it for 4 grand. Its only done 34000 miles. Maybe best keeping it then.

Yep you certantly won't get much more then that.Sometimes if your in no hurry to sell it it's best to keep it.

I reccoment g3 i have used it in the past.

word of wraning the buffing machine is not cheap and if you dont know what you doing with the water you can burn the paint.

using by hand is fine, using random circular movements is the best might take you a few days tho. Yuo could get a quote from a bodyshop i say roughly an hour job

you'd be surprised how much a car loses its value especially a budget brand even a povity spec well known brand

Think you paid over the odds there.

I reckon you can list it at £2k if you tidy the body work up a bit. There are a few 30k 1.4 sx around for £2k.

what is your reason for selling?

To be honest I'm not really wanting to sell the car unless I get a decent price for it. My mates are ripping me to peices for owning the car and I've had enough and want a decent one. I didnt really know anything about cars when I bought it but now it seems like I'm stuck with it.
