Change Euro Cylinder on UPVC door, but screw head mangled

I am trying to change a Euro Cylinder on a UPVC door. I found a clip on You Tube on how to do it. However problem I have is the screw head which I think I need to remove is mangled (see below picture)...

I have tried everything to remove it. It just won't budge. Even with the torque of a electric screwdriver it won't turn.

Any advice very much welcome, as I fear I need a lock smith out.

You can get a screw extractor kit at your local motor shop, not expensive. If you drill the screw use one of the extractors on it.
Drilling it out without using an extractor you may mess up the thread in the frame and struggle to fit a new one.

this! why go out of your way to by a shiny new tool when the most of simple things work

somethin else you can try is if you screw driver has a metal cap on the handle is use a hammer while pushing the driver in to the screw while rotating the driver anti clockwise. But since your in this mess by using the wrong/worn screwdriver it time to buy some new

No. I assume you mean the long screw that engages the cylinder. This is a part of the door not the lock. I assume you can buy one though, and that they are standard, although I suppose there may be variation in length, so you might have to remvoe the existing one to measure it, leaving you without locked door. Oops. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chip in.

It may well be the single long screw that engages the lock.

I bought cylinder locks which were as per the existing ones and they were flush inside, not outside. :(
