S21 Eviction Question

Since the S21 is a no fault notice there are normally no costs awarded against the tenant, that changes if you do not comply with the court order.
The LL can apply for costs - they are fixed at the commencement fee, court fee and judgment fee plus a nominal sum per T for serving papers - the total will normally be around GBP300.
LL is entitled to this in most circumstances (Church Commissioners v Ibrahim - which also allowed for taxation based on actual costs in some cases) - so I can not agree with your statement that normally no costs are awarded against the T. In fact, normally costs are awarded using the fixed fees of the CPRs provided the LL requests such a costs order.0
