Holiday week around Dec 16th 12 - Wait or book now?

Hi,
Bit of advice please if anyone can help please?
My daughter's 21 on Dec 16th and we're looking to go away for a week around that time to Lanzarote. Going from Glasgow so looks like dates will be Dec 13th to 20th so back before the busier Christmas holidays.
I normally only travel in school holidays so this is a new one for me, I assumed (and reading on here seems to back it) that this week should be a quiet time?
There are 3 flights out from Glasgow on 13th and all seem to have loads of availability, ideally we'd like the Jet2 flight with the extra legroom seats but as long as we got the extra legroom the Thomas Cook or Thomson flight would be ok. (The 2 males in the party have made 1 request - can you guess it lol)
Should we book now or wait?

I'd say it probably depends on the price, try https://www.lowcostholidays.comm or https://www.onthebeach.co.uk , they both seem pretty good value for money to me. So yeh, if you see a good deal book now, if not I find walking into the Thomson store about a month before with a cheeky grin usually works OK. I got close on £600 off just for asking last time on a family holiday to Tenerife.0

Surely the end of December is far too busy for anyone to walk in a month before and get a bargain?0

Maybe, I've never taken a winter holiday other than skiing once which I booked a year in advance. I got a bargain at easter. You're probably right though.0

Have you considered Fuertuventura ? I was there in December last year . Temps were around 28 degrees becuase its slightly futher South & closer to the equator .
Jet 2 are quite expensive when you take into account that " extra leg room" can cost a whole lot more for just a 4 hour flight .
Personally I would book late September/early October and rough it with Ryanair from Prestwick .0 -
Unless you've already checked and know they're still there the extra leg room seats may already have gone. If that's your main priority you need to book sooner rather than later.0

The extra leg room thing means you're fussy, so book them now.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
