Hypothetical Question.....

Evening All,
We might hopefully be moving home soon, and are looking for our new abode.
The dream is to have a beautiful kitchen, open plan leading to a dining room. The house we're looking at tomorrow has a separate Kitchen and Dining room, separated by an ajoining wall. Ideally, we'd like to create an archway at least to open the two rooms up. Plus, we'd need a new, medium size kitchen.
Now, I realize this isn't alot of information but could anyone predict how much this could potentially cost - even if it's just a minimum to maximum figure. We just need something to work from/bare in mind.
Thanks,
Alipops x

Best to do the research yourself as, for starters, no one other than you, know where "home" is.
I suggest you check out Mouseprice or Zoopla for value of sold properties in the part of the country you are considering.
You could, as an alternative, start with suitable houses for sale on Rightmove/Zoopla but bear in mind that virtually no houses are being bought at their selling prices currently.0 -
Not sure you understand my question....
How much would it cost to knock a wall down and create an archway between a kitchen/dining room? Plus, approximate cost of a medium size kitchen?0 -
Ah, sorry.
As I said before, though, no one knows where you live. The part of the country will have a big impact on the cost.
Knocking down the wall and making good shouldn't cost a great deal, assuming it's not a supporting one. Perhaps a couple of £k at the most - depending on the size of the wall.
As for the kitchen, that depends on what kitchen you want, from who, the materials and what appliances you want.
A cheapo medium sized kitchen with basic appliances can cost only a few hundred quid. A kitchen with all the bells and whistles (granite, underfloor heating, solid wood carcases, top notch appliances) can cost many thousands.0
