A while ago I bought a video boxset from someone on Ebay and, after paying, it never arrived. I emailed him plenty of times and he was awful. He just kept saying that he posted 40 items that week, couldnt remember posting my videos and as I hadn't paid for postal insurance it was all my own fault!!!
I recently took another look at this guys feedback and although he get a lot of positive comments he also gets an awful lot of people who never received their goods, like me. When they leave a negative and complain he complains right back and calls them names (which I can't put on here but mainly begins with toss).
Now, when you have a non-paying bidder, three strikes and they're out. Surely, if someone keeps regularly sending items which get "lost in the post" then they should also get struck off. It has happened to this guy's buyers too often for it to be a mistake. It makes me sick that people like this are allowed to trade.
The moral of this story is, read ALL negative feedback and see if there is a recurring theme before buying/selling to ANYone!

what a wretch!
Its his responsibility to see the item is posted and gets to you.
Its not your problem how many things he has to post.
Surely there is a way to report his actions ?
He should have to prove postage shouldnt he?
He can do that with a receipt free from the post office when he posts his goods.
I hope you left him feedback describing his attitude

Yes, I did everything possible. Left a negative (so he left me one!) and reported him to Ebay. Started a dispute process which got me nowhere and even printed out an Ebay complaint form and posted it to them somewhere in Germany. They weren't interested and I didn't get a reply or anything! I couldn't even claim anything from Paypal because it was outside the 28 or 30 limit to claim money back!0

It's a shame you let the paypal dispute time limit run out as that would have found in your favour and frozen his account until they can draw enough funds to pay you back.
The moral is, only take excuses so far, when you are approaching the time limit for paypal claims (which is now 45 days I believe) bung in a claim to protect yourself.
The postal insurance is irrelevant, the only purpose of insurance is to protect the seller against paypal claims.

From what you say this guy is at it.
But just to point out lost post seems to go in cycles. I had 6-8 go missing just after Xmas and 4-5 in the last month. I send another item out almost straight away...although I think some people are at it.
The first thing I do is get them to reconfirm their address and get their phone number (post office need this on claim form) but that is usually enough to scare the odd one off.
To be honest I don't even bother claiming from the Royal Mail anymore. They only cover the goods and mine are low value with relatively high P+P. Does tick me off a bit though!!0 -
If you paid with a credit card through paypal then get your credit card firm to do a chargeback against paypal......"Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T. Washington
