What to do with old paint?

Have a few tins of old white silk, gloss, and matt paint in the basement. Some are Dulux or wilko brand. They were last opened around 2002. I expect there will be some oily stuff on the surface. Can the paint be used for something?

Maybe painting the fence?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

And make sure you raise the price by the inevitable x5 amount once the words "shabby chic" are included ... ;)

Where were the paints stored? I had some which were a few years old but they'd been kept in the garden shed and had therefore lived through a few harsh winters. They weren't really fit for anything so I took them to the recycling centre where there are facilities to dispose of them properly.
  • donate to charity - it is either sold on to low income families, given to them or given to charities who may want to redecorate their premises - scout groups, sports groups etc

once paint gets old, it can crack when it dries, so i wouldnt bother using it for anything.
