Anyone know why the EHIC site is down, or alternatively where I can get the application form to print out to apply for the card for a non-UK citizen, but who is resident in the UK?
Many thanks in advance

Post Office ????
If you happen to get to the EHIC be careful, there are so many who pretend they are the EHIC or give the impression that they are and they charge you a fee.
EHIC cards are free to everyone and no 'fee' is payable.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks a lot for that, would never have thought about the post office! That is the reason that I came on here was because I don't want to get scammed

With any luck the site will be back up and running shortly anyway!0 -
I had a look at the .gov one which was unavalable.
It did say on there that you could apply at a main post office.
Some of the others were charging, they are very misleading.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I'm sure the site will be back up long before any other method of application gets to them, I expect they are just doing some maintenance at the moment.0

Site is back up today... I tried to apply yesterday but no luck but was able to complete my application today.
You can do it through the Post Office but I think they charge a £2 checking fee.0
