Hello I have just booked my parents a two week holiday to makris Yialos appartments in lassi kefalonia - has anybody been there? if so is it nice??? Look forward to hearing from you !!:A

Kefalonia is lovely. We spent a couple of weeks in Fiskardo which was a beautiful (if expensive) place. We weren't looking for nightlife at our age but plenty of places to eat and drink and people watch.

I am sure you will love it.

lassi is a lovely resort. I went there for a week last year (july). I will definitely go back some time. It's a bit expensive, but worth it. It's the most relaxing place i've been to. You can walk to the capital from lassi. It's about 30/40 minute walk. Loved it there too!

Good luck with the wedding!!! - We used to go there a lot as children this is probably about 25 years ago and it was amazing - some of the best holidays we have ever had. When we landed at the airport they put all the bags on the runway and we had to find them and there was just one man at a desk outside checking passports - don't think it will be like that now!!!

LOL. The airport is still tiny, but you don't have to collect your luggage on the runway :rotfl: I want to go back now. We stayed at a place at the top of a very steep hill. It was hard work walking up it in the july heat, but so worth it for the stunning views:)

They have a nice area (lots on benches) outside the terminal where you can sit when you've checked in

great choice for a honeymoon:) you will not be disappointed:) it really is the most beautiful island. I've been to quite a few Ionion islands and kefelonia is my favourite one:)
