Has anyone any experience of fires4u?
They've got the gas fire I want £150 cheaper than two of our local shops and say they deliver next day etc.
But its a lot of money and would like to hear of any experiences with this company.
thanks

Dont know what type of fire your buying, but we shopped around on the net, and round shops to get a decent hang on the wall fire, we came across this site, and we wanted it delivered on the friday when we asked, they told us it would be here between 2-4pm, but it came an hour earlier, (good job I was in), the price included vat and delivery, and here is the link to see what a stunning fire it was.
Some places wanted £799, £699, and £649, we got it for £475, and it works and looks gorgeous in our room.:D

Thanks misgrace.
I am looking for the Kinder Roco. Cheapest I can find it on line is £750 but in the shops its £899 so I would be ok with that price unless I can find it cheaper ofcourse.

I might use them again soon as I want rid of the coal fire we got in new house and want a living flame fire which I got from them which also had convector inside and very cheap to run0 -
I got a Wonderfire from them. The courier had been playing football with it - I
refused delivery. 'Phoned fires4u, they sent another one straight away.
Would use them again.0 -
I was reading the recommendations with interest as we are thinking of getting a wood burning stove of some sort. However, having seen some of the prices I'm wondering about the possibility of renovating what we already have which has been for 'decoration only' until now in our dining room fire-place. It is an old looking Esse stove with an opening front - the problem is the 'mila' (sp?) is damaged - this is the old-fashioned thick plasticy stuff that has been replaced by glass in more modern versions. Does anyone know if it would be possible to renovate this fire to make it useable. Any suggestions gratefully received.0
