Air source heating question
Do you have air source heating? If so, maybe you can answer this question.
Do you have to shut off the heating about 10 minutes before the water heating switches on to prevent it tripping? We have to switch off the heating otherwise the system trips and the only way to re-set it is for someone to climb into the roof. This means we are without heating for nearly two hours and on a very cold day this causes the temperature in the house to drop rapidly and then when it can switch on again, the air source machine runs harder and longer until the temperature is back up.
Unfortunately neither the wife nor myself can do climb into the roof as we both suffer from disabilities so have to call out the housing association electrician.
The system is new to us and if the electrician makes an appearance they want £69 from us. £60 for the call out and £9 admin fee!
Please advise as we feel that the system has been wired up incorrectly causing it to trip. No where in the instruction book does it state that the heating needs to be switch off before the water heating switches on. Thanks.
