New Gas Supply
Am due to move house for the first time in 30 years in August and will be looking to install gas central heating in the new house which only has electric heating.
I have not used gas for the past 30 years and as far as I can see all the comparison etc. websites only deal with switching and I have not found anything which gives the best deals for new customers (preferably dual fuel) who do not have an existing supplier or a current usage for that property.
Can anybody help.

No, not as yet. Cannot sort that out till we move and the people who install are not the gas suppliers.0

To use the comparison sites, input the average gas/elec consumption and any old supplier/tariff as your current tariff. Then just look at the prices for the new supplier and ignore the savings just look at the costs.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Get the gas connected up first which could cost anything from £500 upwards. Then you need to contact one of the energy companies to get a meter fitted and then they can start your supply. To start with you might as well just go with who ever supplies the electricty.
Don't know if any gives any special deals to new customers.
If you need any help / advice in getting the gas connected up just ask as I did the same last year. It took about 4 months from the time I got a connection quote to the time they came out and dug up the road to put the pipes in.0
