any ideas ? cos I'm purplexed

This is a new build house with gas fired central heating and hot water. the problem is that every wednesday the hot water system does not cut in and we have lukewarm water. We have a Danfoss programmer which controlls the hot water only , this has been reset to default . The boiler is a Worcester Bosch and although I am not shure the internal clock is in circuit it is set to constant on .
Now everyday of the week it works fine , except wednesday. The clock will be saying On and the red light lit. But the boiler will not run ( it will if I call in a heating demand ). Can anyone suggest anything other than a faulty programmer ? why does it not like wednesdays ?

I don't know the answer but I can see the potential for a remake of The Boomtown Rats hit "I Don't like Mondays."

The silicon chip inside my Bosch
    Gets switched to overload.
And doesn’t want to heat the water today

    Tell me why?
    It don't like Wednesdays.

    I want to shoot
    The whole boiler down.

I agree that there may be a fault in the programmer. I can't suggest anything else.

As you are in a new build, do you have a warranty on the Boiler and Heating system?

Call the Builder, Management Company or whoever is appropriate.

Could there be 2 conflicting timers? Maybe one on the boiler itself and one on some heating pump or in the meter cupboard or something?

Do you have a programmable room thermostat?

It could be this that is somehow set to 'off' for Wednesdays
