Quick questions:
When putting down the initial deposit for a fixed term fixed rate bond (say for 1 year), can I add to the deposit at any time during that year before it matures or are bonds strictly restricted to the initial deposit amount?
Any answers?

You usually can not add to the account after the initial contribution.
Sometimes you can put some more in but it goes into a separate but similar account...0
