Can you borrow a cat? If LL has a no pets clause, this might change their mind?!

If you keep getting re-infested there's likely a neighbour's house restocking them, try the council pest people, they may be able to either find the source, or at least give you evidence to take to your LL

Richard, what have you done to stop the mice?

Have you used traps and/or poisons?
have you cleaned up and blocked all access points?

Have you, at any point during your tenancy, complained to the landlord about the vermin problem?

Because if you have, especially at the beginning, it would greatly stregthen your case for a full refund of the deposit.

Speak to your LL firstly. Is he a reasonable guy? He may reach a compromise.

Otherwise I'd recommend sticking it out to prevent a potentially complicated dispute. Have you complained at any point to the LL?
    Is your deposit protected?
