Investing in shares - courses to follow

Not sure where to put this, but here seemed the best.
In short, I have been doing a little bit of dabbling in shares for the past few months, and have managed to make a small return (About 5% since last december, after fees). The way I have done this, is just go through the papers, and see which shares are being tipped, and used this as a starting point, then had a look at the companies themselves - basic stuff, checking yield, looking at past performance, seeing what headlines have been made, and seeing if I like the product (I have done very well with dominos pizza :-) - in more ways than one).
My view is that I have been a little lucky so far, but, accepting that buying shares is only a slightly better bet than putting money on the horses, it is something I want to do a bit more of, so would like some form of course to follow online, as I believe the saying, the more I practice, the luckier I get. The following came to me through the fool website
http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/
and this seems reasonable, but I wondered if there was anything similar to this in the UK that anyone of you lads or ladies had come across? I dont mind paying for something worthwhile, and while a qualification would be nice, it is not a necessity
Do such courses exist?

Shares magazine is a very good starting point and perhaps follow their links to their sister website https://www.moneyam.com
this is where you can get plenty of info about TA, courses, books etc0
